Host a Stroller Drive

What does it take to host a stroller drive?

Not a lot! Just the will to make it happen!

1) Contact us to let us know of your interest and we'll match you with a refugee organization nearby! We recommend a 2-4 week lead time to get organized.

2) Discuss with your Parent Advisory Committee or organization and decide on the period you would like to collect strollers.  We recommend collecting strollers over a 10 day - 2 week period. A hard end date helps to create a sense of urgency.

3) Select a drop off location. This should be a secure place where families can drop off strollers and where they can be stored safely at your school or community building. Often a school gym works well.

4) Place a call out for volunteer drivers to deliver the strollers to the refugee centres.

5) Select student ambassadors to help create enthusiasm for the stroller drive!

6) Create marketing material. Ideas include announcements in your school newsletter, social media accounts, back pack flyers and place posters around the school.

7) Collect strollers and give each a gentle wipe down before delivery.

Know that you are making a difference!
